In southern Kazakhstan, the population of the Tien Shan argali remains critically low, and the conditions for its survival are becoming increasingly challenging. Migration routes have been disrupted by infrastructure, while the impact of predators and climate change has intensified. Drawing on expert opinions, the author proposes concrete measures: establishing a breeding center modeled after the successful Bukhara deer program, expanding protected areas, introducing aerial monitoring, and fostering international data exchange.
